On behalf of the NRM Research and Innovation Network, it is my pleasure to invite you to the NRM Science Conference 2018. This conference is a chance to showcase the NRM science underpinning environmental decision making, policy and management in South Australia.
It is a unique platform for NRM researchers and practitioners to come together and share their work. Through the conference, we aspire towards a more collaborative future that will lead to better outcomes for South Australia.
The NRM Science Conference 2018 will be held from 10 – 11 April 2018 at the University of Adelaide. The theme for this year’s conference is Science for Policy in a Changing World. The conference will be a space for NRM researchers and practitioners to come together to consider the new challenges science faces in a post-truth world.
Big data, social media, and ‘alternative’ news sources are eroding traditional routes that turn science into policy action, how can our scientists and policy makers respond to these challenges to ensure better outcomes for South Australia?
We look forward to stimulating discussion around the theme through keynote speakers, oral presentations, flash talks and graphical abstracts. The conference is free to attend, but for those that can’t make it, our live stream coverage and our social media presence will keep you connected. Use and follow #SANRM18.
A call for abstracts and registrations will open shortly.
We look forward to seeing you at the NRM Science Conference 2018!
